Who are we

UTCVA is a non-profit, UofT recognized campus group initiated by UofT Chinese students. UTCVA assists some less developed regions in rural China and provides local volunteer opportunities for UofT students to get involved in community. Several events were hosted on campus every year and profits all go towards education and economic supports in rural teaching.

How We Help

It Starts With the Will to Make a Difference

Local Volunteer Opportunities (Toronto)

One of our main causes here at UTCVA (University of Toronto Chinese Volunteering Associaton) is to enrich students' experiences and community involvement through volunteering. Our Local Volunteer (LV) department researched Intriguing New and Well-known Volunteer Events in Toronto. Recent Highlights include Reel Asian International Film Festival, Shoe Box Charity, City Mosaic, Mulan International Film Festival 木兰国际电影节 etc.

ON CAMPUS Events

Our main goal to gain profits for fundraising is to organize several On-campus events such as two Chinese Food Festivals, Camping, Reading Week Trips, Semi-formal etc. See more of the highlight of our past events in "Event Gallery"

Event Gallery

Rural Teaching

The Biggest Goal of UTCVA is to provide education and economic supports through teaching in less developed regions of Rural China. Two to three teams (About 10 Members/ team) will go to elementary school in various regions (May 2019: Guangxi, Shaanxi) in summer.
